Traditional Cemetery - A cemetery that uses both flush and upright memorials.

Memorial - The term used to define the object which marks the gravesite. Bronze, granite, marble and other man-made material can be used.

Flush Memorial - A memorial that is installed flush with the ground.

Monument - A memorial with extends above the ground.

Bevel memorial - A small memorial that is slightly elevated in the back or front. Sometimes referred to as a pillow marker.

Inter (open and close) - To put or place into a grave. This term is also sometimes used to define the digging of the grave.
